Joel Paige, who became general manager at PGA National the year before the Honda Classic arrived in 2007, said Friday he left the post late last year and is now running his own consulting business. The firm specializes in hospitality, tourism and recruiting, he said.

County commissioners are set to consider Paige’s replacement at a meeting Tuesday, said Glenn Jergensen, executive director of the county’s Tourist Development Council.
