The county’s Film and Television Commission issued a permit on Feb. 19 authorizing Viacom, Inc. and Paramount Worldwide Productions, Inc. to film scenes at the county’s South Inlet Park and the City of Boca Raton’s jetty on the park’s north side.

As the cast filmed scenes on the beach last week, an off-duty sheriff’s deputy blocked access to the park’s parking lot, which was full of large trucks and other production vehicles. A production tent positioned near the tip of the inlet was visible from A1A, prompting some residents walking along the busy stretch Monday morning to stop to look.

The film’s crew is staying at The Boca Raton Resort & Club. The production was expected to result in 1,600 nightly hotel room bookings, the permit shows.

The film’s cast has taken to Instagram to share images of their time in Palm Beach County.

The film is scheduled to be released in May 2017.
