Family-friendly hotel packages designed to lure tourists and locals

Looking to take a quick weekend getaway this summer?

Discover The Palm Beaches, the county’s tourism marketing agency, has put together a list of summertime deals and packages that are being offered at local hotels.

Tourism leaders are hoping the promotions entice locals to take a staycation in Palm Beach County.

When Florida’s tourism season enters its slower summer months, local tourism officials and hoteliers shift their marketing efforts to focus on visitors within driving distance of Palm Beach County.

Some of the summer promotions on Discover’s list are offered available only to Florida residents.

Here is the list:

SUMMER HOTEL DEALS
Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa
Bring the family for an adventure that they will never forget with this resort’s Little Loggerhead Package and Explore our Reef Package. Both packages include an oceanfront suite at the AAA Four Diamond-rated resort, fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, private balconies, and an in-suite washer and dryer. The Kids Club caters to youngsters ages 4-12 with daily activities customized to ages and interests. On the “menu” are crafts, sports and seasonal adventures from sand art and hair braiding to water balloon games, treasure digs and sea shell expeditions.   • The Little Loggerhead Package keeps the whole family busy with unlimited non-motorized watersports, tickets for two adults and two children to visit the sea turtles at Loggerhead Marine Life Center with a private tour of the facilities, and participation in the Adopt a Sea Turtle program, where guests will receive a certificate with the name of their adopted sea turtle. A portion of proceeds from the package is donated to Loggerhead Marine Life Center. This offer is valid May through August with prices starting at $284 per night.
  • Adventurous guests ages 10 and older can search for turtles and other marine life with the Explore Our Reef Package, providing guests with snorkel masks and fins to experience the reef located right off the resort’s private beach. While kids enjoy the water, parents receive two signature cocktails upon arrival, and two beach chairs and umbrella daily to relax and unwind. This offer is valid May through August with prices starting at $309 per night.

Delray Beach Marriott Summer Special

Explore the uniqueness of Delray Beach’s quaint shops, local artisans and mouthwatering bistros just steps from the Delray Beach Marriott. Summer Savings at The Delray Breakers

Florida residents can save up to 15% off when booking their summer stay at The Delray Breakers. Valid Florida Identification will be required at check in. For those outside of Florida, savings can still be had if they are a AAA, CAA or AARP member. Proof of membership card will be required at check in.
