Train passengers will be allowed to bring their four-legged friends with them when All Aboard Florida’s Brightline service launches next year.
Mike Reininger, Brightline’s president, said this week that the trains will be pet friendly, although the company is still working out the all of the details.
“We are going to be pet friendly,” Reininger said Monday. “We have talked about it loosely. We haven’t yet made the marketing pitch.”
Brightline plans to run 32 trains a day between Miami and Orlando with stops in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
The company plans to launch service between Miami and West Palm Beach in 2017. Officials had said the West Palm Beach-to-Orlando segment would begin by the end of 2017, but on Monday, Reininger said “there is likely to be some movement on the date.”
