Marine trade group to hold first annual Paddlefest

The Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County will host the first annual Palm Beach Paddlefest this month as part of a push to showcase the industry.

The free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 14 at Currie Park in West Palm Beach.  It is being planned in partnership with the City of West Palm Beach and Nautical Ventures.

The event will features entertainment, food, and demonstrations throughout the day, including Kayaking 101, intro to paddleboarding, and paddleboard yoga.

Attendees can also sign up for guided kayak tours on the Lake Worth Lagoon offered by Visit Palm Beach.

The marine trade group hopes to make the festival an annual event.
