Palm Beach County has its own music playlist this summer, and local tourism leaders are hoping it will help draw more out-of-towners to the area.
The Palm Beaches Radio station, which features a mix of genres, is designed to “match the overall tone” of the county and the reflect “the diverse mix of cities and towns, attractions and cuisine.”
“This is an innovative way to target the audience we’re trying to capture,” said Rich Basen, Discover’s senior vice president of marketing and leisure sales. “We’re diversifying our advertising strategy, and our new Pandora station is a fresh approach to engage different senses. We hope the songs will inspire people to come check out The Palm Beaches.”
The Pandora station is part of Discover’s summer marketing campaign, which also features advertisements on double-decker wrapped bus in South Beach.
Discover officials said this is the first time they have used Pandora to market to potential visitors.
