Toys”R”Us also opened at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day last year.

This year, Toys”R”Us said it plans to have dedicated “G.P.S. Navigator” – or, Gurus for Play Stuff – stationed at the front of  stores on Saturdays and Sundays in November to help customers find the right holiday gifts.

The retailer will also have large, dynamic maps located at the front of each store (and at Toysrus.com/Guide) where shoppers can search for a specific product by name and identify its exact location in the store.

Toys”R”Us has not released its Thanksgiving/Black Friday sale advertisement. But the Black Friday website BfAds.net, which posts and leaks copies of retailers’ sale ads, posted the Toys”R”Us Black Friday ad on Nov. 12 last year.
