The 6-foot high by 15-foot wide “JOY” sign is valued at $1,400, the company said. A star shower holiday spotlight was also taken.

The theft comes just days before Hoffman’s annual Winter Wonderland holiday display opens to the public. Company representatives said Thursday the annual event will continue as planned.

A Hoffman’s representative said the company has filed a report with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information leading to the return will receive a chocolate reward, the company added.

The 26th Annual Winter Wonderland opens Saturday and runs through Friday, Dec. 30 at Hoffman’s Chocolates Factory, Shoppe, Ice Cream Parlour and Gardens at 5190 Lake Worth Road, Greenacres. Admission is free.
