With Dolphins in the playoffs, Ryan Tannehill jersey sales grow

Sales of Dolphins Quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s jersey have surged in the days since the team clinched a playoff spot, according to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Jersey Report, which tracks sales in the company’s stores and on its website.

Since the team ended the franchise’s eight-year postseason drought on Sunday, Tannehill has climbed to the 24th spot on Dick’s weekly ranking of the top selling jerseys, up from number 35 last week.

According to Dick’s report, Tannehill’s jersey represents about 1 percent of total sales for the chain.

This week’s top honor went to Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the report shows. The New York Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. took second place, followed by Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots.

New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady fell to Number 4 for the week, but still has the best selling jersey of the season.
