Hotel looks to lure baseball fans with spring training packages

With the new Ballpark of the Palm Beaches set to open next month, local hotels are looking to lure sports fans with special packages centered around baseball games.

The Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa this week announced it has created a “Spring Training travel package” for baseball fans who plan to visit the new stadium.

The $144 million complex is home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals.

Fans can watch workouts at the new facility starting Feb. 18. The first game is Feb. 28 when the Nationals host the Astros.

The resort’s spring training package, which run from Feb. 28 to March 31, includes suite accommodations, daily breakfast and some baseball swag for the game. Rates start at $799.
