Hoffman’s Chocolates is giving away a wedding

Hoffman’s Chocolates is giving one lucky couple the chance to get married or renew their vows at a ceremony next month in the company’s lush gardens next to its Greenacres factory.

Couples can enter the contest by submitting a video or photo with a story to the Hoffman’s Chocolates website at www.Hoffmans.com/contest explaining why they would like to “Celebrate & Say I Do” in the Gardens. celebrate-say-i-do-contest_hoffmans-chocolates

Finalists’ photos, videos and stories will then be posted to the contest page where the public can vote for a winner. The entry that receives the most votes will win. The contest will run from January 13th until 11:59 p.m. on January 27th. A winner will be notified and announced on January 28th, and the wedding will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“We were inspired to come up this contest to celebrate and spread the love within our community as each couple shares their story with us,” said Lois Marino, Director of Marketing. “We are excited to play a part in the lucky couple’s love story by providing them with a unique and memorable ceremony in our beautiful gardens.”

The winner will receive: a ceremony for 30 guests under the gazebo at Hoffman’s gardens; a photographer to document their special day; a limousine ride to the ceremony; a ceremony officiant; a wedding cake;  buffet dinner; a champagne toast and soft drinks; an array of Hoffman’s Chocolates confections; bouquet and boutonniere for the bride and groom and matching wedding bands.



Hoffman’s Chocolates opens its ninth location


Greenacres-based Hoffman’s Chocolates has opened its ninth retail location.

The new store — in the Weston Town Center, 1727 Main St., Weston — is 1,000 square feet and has eight employees, the company said in a news release.

Included in the Weston store is an ice cream counter serving 32 flavors, in addition to Hoffman’s Chocolates’ selection of more than 70 types of treats.


“We are thrilled to join the Weston community and continue expanding our legendary brand in Broward County,” Jarett Levan, president of Hoffman’s parent company BBX Capital and CEO of BBX Sweet Holdings, said in the news release.

Hoffman’s began its expansion into Broward County in late 2014 and now has four stores there.

The chocolatier also celebrated its 40th anniversary this past summer.

The new store will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
