The plaza is aimed at making the cellphone-waiting area more enticing. In addition to parking space for waiting cars, the travelplaza will also have a gas station, convenience store and Dunkin’ Donuts with a drive-through.
The project, which was expected to open last year, has been delayed because of permitting issues.
The convenience store building will offer wireless internet for those waiting on passengers and real-time flight information boards similar to those displayed inside PBIA’s main terminal. In addition to the Dunkin’ Donuts, the plaza features 2 electric car charging stations, a car wash, Mobil gas station, 7-Eleven convenience store and a new Cell Phone Lot with 85 parking spaces.
The plaza will have access off Belvedere Road, access to the airport roads leading to the terminal and to PBIA’s direct-connect ramps to and from Interstate 95.
In addition to the Thursday’s giveaway, the Dunkin Donuts at the plaza will be two egg and cheese on an English muffin for $3 and $1.49 any size hot or iced coffee for DD Perk Members. The promotion runs through the end of the month.
Five new 7-Eleven stores in Palm Beach County will be offering free samples and giveaways to celebrate their grand openings before the end of the year.
During the grand openings, each store will offer free samples of 7-Select products, promotional savings and coupons for free products. Vendors will vary at each event, but may include Coke, Pepsi, Monster, Red Bull, Coors, Budweiser and Frito Lay, the convenience store chain said.
“With 37 stores currently operating in Palm Beach County, 7-Eleven plans aggressive growth for South Florida in 2017,” 7-Eleven Real Estate Manager, Charles Bantos said. “In addition to the four new stores planned for 2016, we plan to open approximately five stores in the county and a total of 20 stores in Southeast Florida next year. We are excited to see this growth in our neighborhood as 7-Eleven’s convenient offerings become more accessible to surrounding residents.”
Here are the dates and locations of the 7-Eleven stores set to open:
TooJay’s has opened its doors at the Palm Beach Outlets.
The growing restaurant chain, known for its sandwiches, comfort foods, soups and cakes, officially opened its 28th location in Florida at the West Palm Beach shopping hub on Sept. 1. TooJay’s is located on the southeast corner of the mall’s property next to Express Factory Outlet.
“Shopping can make you hungry and now you’ll have a great, new dining option to choose,” said Pam Rada, marketing director of Palm Beach Outlets. “We believe our customers will not only enjoy TooJay’s varied menu but the convenient location of the restaurant as well.”
The Ft. Lauderdale-based company said it has signed a franchise deal with MOD Super Fast Pizza Holdings to open the restaurants over the next seven years. The company’s initial focus will be on the South Florida and Orlando markets. Exact locations have not been announced, but the BBX hopes to open its first MOD franchise in the second quarter of 2017.
MOD currently has 152 locations across 18 states and the United Kingdom.
“MOD has established itself as a leader in the fast casual pizza category while offering consumers an authentic, affordable and fast dining experience,” said Jarett Levan, President of BBX Capital. “MOD’s strong brand, people-first culture, and best-in-class customer service has positioned MOD very well for continued growth, and we are very excited to be teaming with Scott and Ally, and the entire MOD family to bring the concept to Florida.”
In addition to Hoffman’s, BBX Capital owns Bluegreen Corporation, a vacation ownership company and BBX Sweet Holdings, a portfolio of candy companies throughout the United States.
The store will be located on the Intracoastal Waterway, just off PGA Boulevard, and will be accessible by both land and water. It will carry top brands including Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Azimut, Galeon and Scout.
“We are excited about the opportunity to better serve our customers in the West Palm Beach and surrounding area,” said Paul Cummings, MarineMax Southeast Florida Regional President. “This new marina location will give us an opportunity to provide the same outstanding sales and service our customers have come to expect.”
