The Portland, Oregon-based retailer plans to open its new store at 10 a.m. on Oct. 21. The chain says a grand opening celebration with “great offers” is planned from Oct. 21 to Oct. 23.
TooJay’s will celebrate the grand opening of its new location at the Palm Beach Outlets this month, and the first 50 people in line will get a free gift card and tumbler when the doors open.
The restaurant, located at 1721 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, opens at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The first 50 people in line at that time will receive a $25 gift card and a free tumbler.
The chain, known for its deli-style sandwiches and handmade desserts and bite-size pastries, has nearly 30 restaurants throughout Florida.

The growing restaurant chain, known for its sandwiches, comfort foods, soups and cakes, officially opened its 28th location in Florida at the West Palm Beach shopping hub on Sept. 1. TooJay’s is located on the southeast corner of the mall’s property next to Express Factory Outlet.
“Shopping can make you hungry and now you’ll have a great, new dining option to choose,” said Pam Rada, marketing director of Palm Beach Outlets. “We believe our customers will not only enjoy TooJay’s varied menu but the convenient location of the restaurant as well.”
TooJay’s celebrated the grand opening of its new Wellington location in July.
The Beef Jerky Outlet plans to open its doors in West Palm Beach next month.
The national chain, which has 57 franchise locations, including 6 founder-owned stores, plans to open at the Palm Beach Outlets in early June, the company announced Wednesday.
The specialty store offers more than 200 jerky varieties, sizes and flavors. Specialty meats include kangaroo, alligator, venison and elk, as well as exotic flavors like Moonshine and Cajun.
“I love beef jerky and have been making it for years for our camping, diving, rafting and skiing outings,” said Don Jones, who owns the West Palm Beach Beef Jerky Outlet with his wife Lupe. “Jerky was a great snack throughout my military career and a big reason why I became interested in the franchise.”
A number of stores at the Palm Beach Outlets will be offering special treats and promotions to mothers on Saturday.
The “Mother’s Appreciation Day” event runs from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 7.
Participating retailers include Guess Factory, First Watch, Crabtree & Evelyn Outlet, dressbarn, J. Crew | Crewcuts Factory, Perfumania, Soma, Lindt Chocolate Shop, O’Neill, Skechers, Steve Madden and Jockey.
Moms can also register to win a pink Fitbit and gift certificates to the Sari Center for massages, acupuncture and more.
First Watch is set to open on Monday, offering made-to-order breakfast, brunch and lunch. The restaurant will employ about 25 people at this new 3,500-square-foot space located next to AT&T near Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and Congress Avenue.
TooJay’s is slated to open at the Outlets this summer, mall officials said. The opening would mark TooJay’s 27th location in Florida.
Meanwhile, Perfect Oil, a family-owned and operated eco-friendly aromatherapy and home fragrance shop, also will open on April 4. The store will be located across from Guess.
A group of race cars will be on display on Sunday at the Palm Beach Outlets.
The “Cars & Coffee” showing is part of a monthly gathering at the open air outlet mall.

The Palm Beach Outlets mall turns 2 this week, and it’s hosting a celebration this weekend to mark the occasion.
The event will feature the World Birthday Cake-Eating Championship, which kicks off at 1 p.m. Saturday. There also will be events for children, entertainment, raffles and sidewalk sales through Sunday evening.
About that cake-eating contest: It’s an eight-minute challenge, sanctioned by Major League Eating. Twelve eaters will chow down for a portion of $5,000 in cash prizes. The winner last year, Matt Stonie — who happens to be the No. 1 eater in the world — set a new world record by eating 14.5 pounds of birthday cake in under eight minutes.

Here are five things to know about the Palm Beach Outlets as you head out to shop this weekend:
1. It was the top commercial property sale of 2015 in Palm Beach County. The main outlet mall sold for $278 million, and the Marketplace at the Outlets strip center sold for $116.7 million.
2. More stores are planned — a lot more stores. The developer in November 2014 filed plans for another wing to the mall, near Forever 21, which would house 30 more retailers.
3. Before the Palm Beach Outlets mall, there was the Palm Beach Mall. Opening in 1967, the Palm Beach Mall was the premiere shopping destination in Palm Beach County for decades. Check out photos here of it being demolished to make way for the outlets.
4. County officials are using the mall to lure tourists. The outlets and other Palm Beach County malls were featured in a marketing campaign to draw tourists from Brazil to Palm Beach County for Black Friday.
5. Those visitors have given a boost to surrounding businesses. At the Best Western Palm Beach Lakes Inn across the street from the outlets, the director of sales and marketing told The Palm Beach Post in June that the hotel has seen a huge jump in the number of international tourists visiting to shop at the mall.

Who/What: Palm Beach Outlets and the South Florida Fair are partnering for a worthy cause. They’re collecting non-perishable food items during its Food 4 Funevent to benefit the Palm Beach County Food Bank.
Those who donate at least two items will receive one ticket to the South Florida Fair that is good for free admission on any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday during the fair, which runs from Jan. 15-31 at the South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach. The ticket limit is two per person. This year’s fair theme is “Discover the Palm Beaches, powered by FPL.”
