Floor & Decor, a specialty retailer of hard-surface flooring, will open the doors to its new Riviera Beach location today.
The opening marks the company’s sixteenth store in Florida. To celebrate the new store, the company is giving away a $5,000 gift card to one lucky winner.
Guest can register for the giveaway at the Riviera Beach store beginning today.
The 68,000-square-foot Floor & Decor retail store and design center, is located off I-95 at Blue Heron Boulevard. The store, will have a team of about 40 employees led by Ed Conn, the new store’s Chief Executive Merchant.
“Floor & Decor is thrilled to open our doors in Riviera Beach,” Conn said. “With the launch of our sixteenth store in the state, we are committed to providing Floridians with an extensive array of flooring products at unbeatable prices, and we look forward to forming relationships with this great community, one shopper at a time.”
On Saturday, the store will hold a “$1 million dice roll.”
“Beginning at noon, the first 200 shoppers ages 18 and older in line for the dice roll will have the opportunity to roll a set of six customized dice, each marked with one letter to spell “F-L-O-O-R-S,” for the chance to win $1 million,” according to a press release announcing the opening.
Prizes will be awarded for the following dice combinations:
• Roll any four letters, win a $100 Floor & Decor merchandise card
• Roll any five letters, win a $1,000 Floor & Decor merchandise card
• Roll all six letters to spell FLOORS, win the grand prize of $1 million
The dice roll contest will conclude when 200 people have participated or at 2 p.m., whichever occurs first, the company said.
The national chain, which has 57 franchise locations, including 6 founder-owned stores, plans to open at the Palm Beach Outlets in early June, the company announced Wednesday.
The specialty store offers more than 200 jerky varieties, sizes and flavors. Specialty meats include kangaroo, alligator, venison and elk, as well as exotic flavors like Moonshine and Cajun.
“I love beef jerky and have been making it for years for our camping, diving, rafting and skiing outings,” said Don Jones, who owns the West Palm Beach Beef Jerky Outlet with his wife Lupe. “Jerky was a great snack throughout my military career and a big reason why I became interested in the franchise.”
With this new store, AT&T now has 2 authorized retailer locations in Jupiter for a total of 26 in Palm Beach County.
“We’re expanding our retail presence to better serve our customers,” said Carlos Blanco-Sposito, AT&T Florida vice-president and general manager. “When it comes to shopping, convenient locations are key.”
The new store is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday.
Soma, a woman’s lingerie, loungewear and beauty products retailer, is opening a new store today at Palm Beach Outlets in West Palm Beach.
The boutique will offer free, expert bra fittings, the company said in a news release announcing the store’s opening.

“Soma carries 43 bra sizes from 32A-44G, with full coverage, demi, push up, strapless, wireless, unlined, nursing, post-surgical, and more for a complete intimate wardrobe,” the news release said. “Innovations include bras with side slimming and 3-zone support; everyday shaping panties that make panty lines vanish, swimwear with bra cup slimming support, and soft, cooling sleepwear.”
Sam Edelman, a woman’s shoe store that also sells handbags, jewelry and outerwear, has opened a 2,600-square-foot store at The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens.
The store opened on February 6 and is located on the upper level of the mall at the Bloomingdale’s end.
“The Palm Beach customer embodies the aspirational essence of the Sam Edelman brand, making The Gardens Mall a perfect location for our newest retail store,” said Sam Edelman, designer, founder and division president for the Sam Edelman division.
The brand has retail locations in New York, New Jersey, California and Las Vegas.
Harbor Freight, a national discount tool and equipment retailer, has opened a new store along Okeechobee Boulevard just west of Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach.
The store, at 2497 Okeechobee Boulevard, is located in the Westward Shopping Center.
The Westward Shopping Center lost three large tenants — Old Navy, Sports Authority and PetSmart — when the Marketplace area at Palm Beach Outlets opened in late 2014. The 300,000-square-foot Marketplace at the Outlets houses roughly 20 stores, most of which will are national chains and big box retailers, including the recently opened Whole Foods.
Harbor Freight is located in space once occupied by Old Navy.
Last year, Burlington, a national off-price retailer, opened a 55,000-square-foot store at the Westward Shopping Center, filing space vacated by other retailers.
